ShiftCon 2015
The wheels are in motion. It’s official. I’m headed back to LA in September for what promises to be another fabulous weekend [2].
I hope you’ll join me [3] for the second annual ShiftCon [4]! ShiftCon [3] is the first social media conference for bloggers interested in wellness, sustainability & activism. This conference blends workshops, networking, parties, and intense collaboration of changemakers in one place.

Last year I had a fantastic time with one big takeaway [5]: Our profession thrives on people working together towards a few common goals. There’s no denying that we’re a powerful group commanding change.
I’ll be joining together with a strong and thriving eco-wellness community from September 24 – 26 at the Marriott Manhattan Beach Hotel in Los Angeles. All the details are still in the works, but here are few things to help convince you to join in the fun:
- All food served by at ShiftCon is either Organic OR GMO free.
- Each day a wellness activity is organized in the morning.
- Sponsors of the conference have passed strict guidelines [6] to ensure they are free from toxins.
Join my tribe at Shiftcon
This year ShiftCon [3] 2015 is trying out something new and exciting. There will be several tribes covering different aspects of the conference. I’ve been asked lead a tribe called “Detoxifying the Home” [7] along with Alicia Voorhies of The Soft Landing [8] and Andrea Kessel Fabry of It Takes Time [9]. Tribal Leaders are bloggers who are respected in their field and are in a leadership position at ShiftCon. Because “green” has so many different facets and it’s very easy to get lost, tribes have been created that mirror all the different interests of the bloggers attending the conference. Through our tribe we’ll create community around the important and practical ways we can create safe homes. As tribe leaders, we’ll be available throughout the conference to mentor and guide attendees. Hopefully that will include some of you.

Last year I had the good fortune to speak on a panel called Social Media For Change [2] alongside two of my friends and colleagues, Lindsay Dahl [10] (left) and Trina O’Boyle [11] (middle).

At ShiftCon 2015 I’m going to be speaking again alongside two women I respect as leaders in the green movement and who I’m honored to call my friends: Lindsay Dahl of Beautycounter [13] and Lindsay Dahl’s Blog [10]and Micaela Preston of Mindful Momma. Together we’ll be talking about safe cosmetics and personal care products-such an important topic for everyone. More to come on this soon so stay tuned!
