Groovy Green Livin Pinterest

I’ve jumped in head first. Have you? Pinterest is my new hobby aka time suck. I’m spending A LOT of time finding really cool things and in the process discovering great sites that I might not otherwise come across. I have so many ideas for boards that my head is spinning. Today I created a board for Eco Valentines Crafts with Kids.  Let me know if you have any good craft projects to add to the board (or any of the boards).

One of my favorite pins is 10 ways to cook quinoa. It has more protein per ounce than meat!

Don’t know what Pinterest is?

Don’t let that stop you. Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes. Let me know if you’d like an invite-you need one to join.

If you are a Pinterest newbie HERE are a few tips to get you started. If you are a Pinterest veteran HERE‘s a post that will make you laugh.

Follow Me on Pinterest

I’m really having fun following so many of you. I’m amazed at the number of creative ideas out there. So let’s connect on Pinterest. Come and find me and I’ll follow you back.

Are you on Pinterest? What do you think so far?

  1. I finally set up my account but I have not pinned anything yet. I am not sure if I am ready for any more time sucks right now.
I really loved that pin-this post you linked to. VERY funny!

  2. Ha! The nice part is you can use it whenever you want. I’ll go for days without looking. It’s a lot of fun and mindless! I’m good at mindless 🙂

  3. I am right there with ya Lori! I just signed up about a week ago. I do like being able to categorize stuff with pics. I had so many bookmarks on cool blog posts, info, products… then I couldn’t remember where they were or what they were. The pics really help.
I’ll have to check out your new board – have already repinned a few of your others 😉

  4. I am obsessed!!! I love it!! When ever I want to work on a craft, or learn something new I jump on and I am in heaven. 🙂

  5. I resisted Pinterest forever because I am social-media’d out. But then my curiosity got the better of me and I created an account and tried it out. Now I’m totally hooked. It is a giant time suck, a deliciously fun time suck but a time suck all the same.

  6. It’s addicting all right! The only thing I wonder is if I will ever have the time to actually make any of the things that I have pinned!

  7. I love Pinterest. Not only is it a good time waster (I browse Pinterest when I’m in line at the grocery store!), but it’s been wonderful for my blog too.

  8. I agree Kiersten-it is a lot of fun. The grocery line is a perfect place to play! You have a lot of beautiful photos on your blog so I’m not surprised that Pinterest works.

  9. Hi Meg, I’m obsessed too. There are so many creative ideas and gorgeous photos. Are we following each other? I’ll have to check.

  10. I would give all the other social media sites up in a minute to play on Pinterest all day. My absolute favorite. It just may replace my magazine obsession. Oh, and that would be SO green-saves trees, money…

  11. Oh goodness, I can see how easily this could become a fun new obsession! I’m not sure which way to go!!!!

  12. I like Pinterest Sandra. I don’t feel the same pull that I feel with Twitter and Facebook. I go on when I want and can skip it for a few days. Let me know if you give it a try.

  13. I feel the same way Ronnie. Pinterest is so beautiful to look at-all those gorgeous photos. And then there’s the green aspect!
