Groovy Green Livin Stonyfield Organics Party

The Stonyfield Gang (L to R) Chandra, Carrie, Kristina, me, Micaela from Mindful Momma

Whew. I just returned from a crazy fun weekend in New York City.  BlogHer 2012 has come to a close after much laughter, sweat (incredibly hot and humid), reconnecting with old friends and making new. BlogHer is the largest blogging conference and this year was a big crowd with over 5,000  bloggers, speakers, brands and others.

Getting to NY was a breeze. I took the Acela (high speed train) from Boston  for the first time and loved it. After a 3 1/2 hour ride with WiFi and a few of my Stonyfield friends I found myself in Penn Station. After  quick cab ride to the hotel I was ready to enjoy my weekend.

My first night in New York was spent at a small, intimate party hosted by Stonyfield Organics and Healthy Child Healthy World.  Micaela Preston from Mindful Momma and I were blogger ambassadors for the party. I had a chance to address the group and spoke a bit about how both organizations hold a place near and dear to my heart.  As some of you may know, I’m a Yo-Getter ambassador for Stonyfield and I’m a Parent Ambassador for Healthy Child Healthy World.

The party made a huge conference feel much more manageable by bringing together a small group of  active, green, like-minded and passionate people.

After the party a small group of us were treated to dinner at Chelsea’s Table – a new restaurant opened by Stonyfield founder Gary Hirshberg.

The chef brought out course after course of delicious food.

And that was only the first night……more details of my fabulous weekend in New York coming soon.

Big thank you to Stonyfield Organics for sponsoring my trip to BlogHer12. I also received a complementary pair of Neuaura Mulberry shoes from Compassion Couture Shop which kept my feet happy at BlogHer. All opinions and comments are my very own.

  1. You look amazing! Happy, healthy and beautiful. So glad you had a great time. Way to go!

  2. Awesom that you had so much fun. That looks like a great restaurant.

  3. So much fun! Thanks for taking such great photos (and sharing them!)

  4. Sounds like the Stonyfield event was great! The smaller parties sound like the best way to experience BlogHer12!

  5. What wonderful pictures from BlogHer! It was my first conference ever, and I had such a good time.
This is weird, but could you pass along a message to Stonyfield? My son is autistic, and has serious issues with food (textures, etc). He has about ten foods that he’ll eat, including Stonyfield yogurt smoothies. They saved him. He drinks about 4-5 a day and it’s the only way we get any healthy calories , protein and fat into him. On behalf of my kid, please tell them thank you for helping me keep his weight on.

  6. Hi Alysia! Your comment made me smile. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m so happy to hear that Stonyfield yogurt smoothies work well for your son. I passed your message on to Stonyfield. Would you mind emailing me your mailing address? I think they might have a little surprise for you 🙂

I’m so glad you had a great time at BlogHer. I did too-and now I need a long nap! So glad you stopped by.

  7. Lori,

It was so great to finally hug you…..for real…..and not just a virtual one. Thank you for inviting me to Stonyfield’s awesome reception. No wonder you love to work with them – the people were so nice from Stonyfield’s…..and their 0% Fat Free Greek Yogurt was out of this world (I had the caramel and oh, so yum!) My Daughter was NOT happy that I didn’t bring home her favorite yogurt! Maybe next time….

    Thanks again!

  8. It was so nice to spend time with all of you this weekend! I loved our dinner… it was super delicious. Thank you Stonyfield and Healthy Child Healthy World!

  9. It was great to meet you in person since I have been a reader for a long time. Thanks for being “the photographer.” It was great to finally meet all of you at the Stonyfield party and at the conference in general!

  10. Hi Leigh, It was so nice to meet you and spend some time with you. It really makes a big difference to have that face-to-face time.

  11. Hi Titania, It was so nice to meet you and enjoy that amazing Chelsea’s Table dinner together!

  12. Hi Karen, I am SO happy that we finally met. Hugging after all that virtual time together is awesome! So glad you were able to come in for the Stonyfield party. They are an amazing organization with delicious products. Glad you loved their Greek yogurt!

  13. The smaller parties make BlogHer bearable! When a conference gets so big it’s sometimes hard to connect.

  14. You are so welcome Micaela! So glad we were able to spend a lot of time together.

  15. It was so much fun Marsha. The restaurant was great-lots of locally grown food and the chef was wonderful. He explained many of the dishes and where the ingredients came from.
